Every day at Wesley is filled with opportunities to learn, play, explore, and grow. Our daily routines provide the consistency children need to feel safe, comfortable, and confident.
From hands-on learning and outdoor play to meals, rest, and time with friends, our teachers create a nurturing environment while remaining flexible to each child's individual needs.
What a typical day looks like
7:00 am – Breakfast
Children enjoy breakfast brought from home in a warm, relaxed setting that encourages friendships, conversation, and growing independence.
8:00 am – Free Play
Children ease into their day with books, puzzles, and engaging activities in a warm, welcoming classroom. This relaxed start helps every child feel comfortable, connected, and ready to learn.
9:00 am – Morning activities and learning through play
Our mornings come alive with hands-on learning inspired by the Frog Street curriculum, blending teacher-guided activities with child-led exploration. Activities include:
Art, crafts, and sensory play
Building, discovery, and problem-solving
Stories and early language development
Music, movement, and singing
Small-group activities that build social and cognitive skills
Children are encouraged to explore, create, and learn at their own pace, supported by caring teachers who make learning fun.
10:00 am – Outdoor Play & Exploration
Fresh air and active play are an important part of every day at Wesley! Weather permitting, children enjoy:
Running, climbing, and developing motor skills
Exploring nature and discovering the world around them
Creative and imaginative outdoor play
Building friendships through games and group activities
Outdoor time encourages curiosity, confidence, and healthy physical development.
11:00 am – Lunch & Friendship
Children enjoy lunches brought from home in a warm, relaxed setting. Our caring teachers sit with children, encouraging conversation, good manners, independence, and friendships.
12:00 pm – Rest & Recharge
After a busy morning of learning and play, children enjoy a peaceful time to rest and recharge. Our caring teachers create a calm, comforting environment where children can nap or relax according to their individual needs.
2:00 pm – Afternoon Learning & Play
The afternoon brings more opportunities to explore, create, and grow! Children enjoy a mix of teacher-guided activities and free play designed for their age and interests, including:
Imaginative play and creative expression
Small-group learning and discovery
Hands-on sensory activities
Outdoor adventures and movement games
3:00 pm – Snack Time
Children enjoy a snack and drink brought from home, giving them a chance to recharge, connect with friends, and get ready for more afternoon fun!
4:00 pm – Afternoon Play & Pick-Up
As the day winds down, children enjoy relaxed activities, stories, and outdoor play with friends. Our caring teachers help make the transition home smooth and welcoming, sharing highlights from each child's day with families at pick-up.
6:00pm – Wesley School closes
