PHILOSOPHY
The Wesley School is a 2-star Texas Rising Star accredited school providing care and education for infants through Pre-K. We also provide aftercare programs and summer programs for children up to 12 years old.
We use the Frog Street Early Childhood Curriculum, which supports every area of development—cognitive, language, literacy, physical, and social-emotional. We incorporate Conscious Discipline® to foster social-emotional growth and engage children in STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) to spark curiosity and prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. As children grow, we also integrate elements of the Texas School Ready program to further strengthen school readiness.
We believe school readiness begins in infancy. Children thrive when they build a strong foundation in social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Our approach helps them learn to regulate emotions, form positive relationships, work cooperatively in groups, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Through intentional, developmentally appropriate activities, children explore math, science, social studies, reading, writing, and more.
HISTORY
Established in 1986, Wesley School is part of the Memorial United Methodist Church and is governed by an appointed advisory board. The board meets regularly with Wesley’s Director to review and establish the policies of the school in the best interest of the children and families involved.
MISSION
The mission of Wesley School is to inspire a lifelong commitment to learning by nurturing the “whole child” by providing a stimulating environment that facilitates a foundation for academic, social, and emotional growth.
